As 100% of our makers live in Tasmania, everytime you shop at Under the Oak you are supporting lots of small Tasmanian businesses, their families and the Tasmanian economy. But it doesn't just stop there....Under the Oak and many of it's designers also pass on some of that kindess to both the local and international community, which means that your money and support goes even further!

Current Community Support:​

  • '1000 Hearts Project', Free handmade felt pocket hearts to share and celebrate kindness and provide the recipient with a reminder of love, hope, courage and comfort. Under the Oak is now an information/drop off/pick up point for anyone who would like find out more, receive or make hearts for others.

  • Oasis Life Care Ministeries, Locally made Jams & Relish,- Caring for the vulnerable women and children of Kantalomba, Zambia.

  • Kym's crafts, crotcheted animals- 100% of sales go towards supporting New Mornings, promoting mental health and wellbeing in our community.

Past support:​

  • Saturday for Syria, April 2017. 10% of store takings, some designer sales and in-store donations resulting in over $600 donated to support those affected by the Syrian chemical attack

  • Donation of necklace sales to Warrawee Women's Shelter Ulverstone. A not-for-profit organisation which is a safe haven for those escaping violence.

  • MND Tasmania, Hair Scrunchies by Stella (age 11) - Supporting those living with Motor Neurone Disease.

  • Fabulicious,- 25% of sales for all Teacher's gift items donated to the Malala fund to support access to education for girls worldwide.
